The firm was established in 1924 under the name of Henry St. John Blake & Co. In 1930 George Geraghty father of four of the existing partners joined the firm and the name was changed to it's current title in 1971.
Building up the practice they have each achieved distinctions in other areas including academic, sporting, literary and charity works.

Liam B.A., LL.B., qualified in 1962 and is married with seven children. He worked for some years in Dublin before joining the firm in 1966. An environmental and archeological enthusiast he has built up considerable expertise in resolving property title matters and also Employment Law and Personal Injury Claims.

Brian B.A., B.Comm., LL.B., qualified in 1968 and is married with seven children. He worked for a period with a firm in County Wexford before joining the firm in 1970. A former international athlete and still very active, he has built up a vast array of clients in general legal practice including Property Transactions, Probate and Personal Injury Claims. |

Donal B.A., B. Comm., qualified in 1978 and is married with three children. He worked for a period with a stock brokerage firm in New York before joining the firm. An active sports participant and a former tennis and squash inter-provincial, he has accumulated considerable experience in the District Court, Family Law, Licencing Law and personal Injuries Claims. |

Kevin B. Comm., Notary Public is married with two children, qualified in 1982 and joined the firm thereafter. A low handicapped golfer, he has considerable experience in dealing with debt collection matters, judgement registration and liquidation, in addition to Probate and Personal injury Claims. He became a Notary Public in 1996, one of only two who are active in Galway City. |

Davitt Geraghty B.A., LL.B., son of Liam joined the practice in 2002. He qualified in 1997 and has previously worked with H.D.Keane &Co., Solicitors in Waterford City., specializing in road traffic and work related accident cases. He is a former County Gaelic footballer and also a rugby and golfing enthusiast. |
